Dual 2K QHD HDR with Sony STARVIS 2 on Both Channels

Both the front and rear cameras are equipped with the Sony STARVIS 2 (IMX675) sensor, recording in 2K QHD (2560×1440) @ 30FPS — nearly twice the pixel count of standard 1080p Full HD. Dual HDR on both channels automatically balances bright highlights and dark shadows, ensuring license plates and road signs are legible in high-contrast situations like direct sunlight, tunnel exits, or nighttime driving. This is a significant step up from single-channel or 1080p systems, without the storage demands of 4K.

Sub-1mA Power Saving Parking Mode

The Elite 8 2CH features the same ultra-efficient parking mode as the flagship Elite 10 — consuming less than 1mA in standby. The camera sleeps until the built-in G-sensor detects an impact, then wakes instantly to record the event from both front and rear cameras, then returns to standby. Your vehicle is protected for weeks without draining your battery. Also supports Motion Detection and Time Lapse modes. For extended coverage, pair with the BlackVue B-130A Ultra Battery Pack or BlackboxMyCar PowerCell 8.

BlackVue Cloud & Dual-Band Wi-Fi

The Elite 8 2CH is Cloud Ready — add the optional BlackVue CM100G LTE Module (compatible with AT&T, T-Mobile, Telus, Rogers, Bell) to unlock BlackVue Cloud features: remote live view of both cameras, instant push notifications on impacts, and automatic cloud backup. Even without LTE, the built-in dual-band Wi-Fi (802.11ac, 2.4/5GHz) connects to your phone for fast local footage downloads and settings changes via the BlackVue App.

Dual-Band GPS + GLONASS & 1TB Storage

Built-in dual-band GPS + GLONASS embeds precise speed and location data directly onto footage for indisputable insurance and legal evidence. Supports microSD cards up to 1TB for weeks of dual 2K driving history before loop overwrite. A MicroSD card is included in the box.
