The VIOFO A329T 3CH is the only three-channel dash cam in the world with a dedicated 4X optical zoom telephoto camera as its third channel. Where the A329S 3CH uses a fisheye cabin camera for interior coverage, the A329T replaces it with a forward-facing telephoto lens — capturing distant license plates, road hazards, and far-off incidents with 2K QHD clarity that no wide-angle camera can match. All three channels use Sony STARVIS 2 sensors with Multi-Exposure HDR. Wi-Fi 6, USB 3.0, Bluetooth voice control, external SSD support up to 4TB, and five parking modes included.

The Telephoto Channel — What No Other Dash Cam Offers

The A329T’s defining feature is its 2K QHD telephoto camera with 4X optical zoom. Unlike digital zoom which simply crops and enlarges existing pixels, optical zoom uses a dedicated lens with a narrow 35° field of view to physically magnify distant subjects — preserving full 2K resolution at range. Practical advantages:

License plate capture at distance: Read plates on vehicles 3–4 car lengths ahead — critical for hit-and-run documentation where the front wide-angle camera loses plate detail at range
Distant road hazard documentation: Capture debris, accidents, and road conditions far ahead with enough detail to be evidentially useful

A329T vs A329S 3CH — Which Third Channel Do You Need?

Both models share the same front (IMX678) and rear (IMX675) cameras, Wi-Fi 6, SSD support, and parking modes. The difference is the third channel:

A329T 3CH (this model): Telephoto camera with 4X optical zoom and 35° FOV — choose this if you need long-range forward documentation, license plate capture at distance, or fleet/commercial road evidence
A329S 3CH: 210° fisheye cabin camera with IR night vision — choose this if you need interior passenger coverage (rideshare, family, fleet driver monitoring)

Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) + USB 3.0 — Two Fast Transfer Options

Wi-Fi 6 (2.4GHz + 5GHz) enables fast, stable wireless download of triple-channel footage via the VIOFO app (iOS & Android) without removing the SD card. The USB 3.0 port provides a wired direct connection for maximum transfer speed when moving large multi-channel video files to a computer for archiving or review. Wi-Fi 6 is backward compatible with older devices.

External SSD up to 4TB + 512GB microSD

Supports portable external SSD storage up to 4TB via USB-C — storing weeks of continuous triple-channel 4K+2K+2K footage without looping over older recordings. Also accepts a microSD card up to 512GB for flexible standalone or dual-storage configurations. Essential for long-haul drivers, fleet operators, and anyone who needs extended retention across all three channels.

When hardwired (hardwiring kit sold separately), the A329T 3CH offers five parking surveillance modes across all three cameras:

Built-in Bluetooth enables wireless voice control — lock video files, take snapshots, or adjust modes hands-free with simple spoken commands. Audio notifications confirm status changes without requiring you to look at the screen.

H.265 Encoding + CPL Filter Included

Records exclusively in H.265 (.MP4) — the most efficient codec available, delivering significantly smaller file sizes than H.264 at equivalent quality. Critical for managing continuous triple-channel recording storage. The CPL filter for the front camera is included, reducing windshield glare and dashboard reflections for cleaner daytime footage.
