2K QHD @ 30FPS with Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675

The VS1 Mini uses the 5MP Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 — the same sensor used in the rear and cabin cameras of the A329S series — to record at 2K QHD (2560×1440) @ 30FPS with a 140° field of view. At 2K QHD, license plates, road signs, and vehicle details are captured with significantly more clarity than 1080p Full HD cameras, while keeping file sizes manageable for extended recording on a single card.

Super Night Vision 2.0 + HDR

The VS1 Mini’s Super Night Vision 2.0 technology leverages the IMX675’s high sensitivity and low-noise performance to deliver clean, detailed footage in challenging low-light conditions — dim parking garages, poorly lit streets, and nighttime city driving. HDR (High Dynamic Range) automatically balances bright headlights against dark shadows, preventing overexposure and ensuring license plates and road details remain legible when lighting conditions change rapidly, such as entering or exiting tunnels.

VIOFO’s First Model with Intelligent Voice Controls

The VS1 Mini introduced voice controls to the VIOFO lineup — a first for the brand. Supported voice commands let you:

The VS1 Mini’s dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz + 5GHz) provides up to 4x faster wireless transfer speeds than 2.4GHz-only connections, enabling smooth video preview and fast clip downloads via the VIOFO app (iOS & Android) without removing the SD card. The built-in GPS records precise location coordinates and speed data embedded in every video file — useful for insurance claims, fleet tracking, and route documentation.

3 Parking Modes — 24/7 Vehicle Protection

When hardwired with the VIOFO HK5 Hardwiring Kit (sold separately), the VS1 Mini offers three parking surveillance modes:

• Auto Event Detection (with Buffered Recording): Automatically starts recording when motion or impacts are detected. Buffered recording captures footage from before the triggering event, ensuring the full incident is documented — not just the aftermath
• Time-Lapse: Continuous low-frame-rate recording that dramatically reduces file size while maintaining coverage throughout the parking period
• Low Bitrate Mode: Continuous audio and video recording at high compression — enables extended overnight recording without overwriting footage from the previous day

Screenless Design — Compact, Discreet, Always On

The VS1 Mini has no LCD screen — a deliberate design choice that keeps the unit exceptionally small and discreet on the windshield. All configuration, footage review, and live preview is handled through the VIOFO app via Wi-Fi. Voice notifications replace the need for a screen for day-to-day status updates. This makes the VS1 Mini ideal for drivers who want a dash cam that’s virtually invisible from outside the vehicle.
